Slowly coming together...
« on: November 23, 2008 - 02:43:42 PM »
Well, finally got the front valance, bumper, fogs, etc. mounted and adjusted.  My insurance company had asked for front, rear and engine pics, so I figured I'd post here as well.

Always nice to see a 71 still on the road.  That's a great color.

It's a F#rd color from 1995, JA Sapphire Blue.  It looks purple to the eye, but photographs blue.

The interior is out, with the exception of the dash, carpet and driver's seat...oh, and headliner.  Need to paint/dye interior panels and get the seats re-covered.

Very nice!  I love Purple 71 'Cuda's, maybe you can save your $ and drop a badboy Hemi in that baby.  That would really be cool!

The current plan is to finish screwing it back together this winter and just ENJOY it for a couple of years.  The car was out-of-commission for 12 years, so this has been a long time coming.

After that, I'm not sure yet.  It was a base Barracuda, so I don't have anything guiding me in a particular direction.  It was originally painted the Copper (Burnt Orange?) color, so I've thought about going back to that with a white interior and white billboards.  I think there is a diecast that inspired me in that direction.  A HEMI would be fun, as would a MP 440 small-block.
