Looking sharp, now add some performance to go with the looks!  Modern Muscle and Inertia Motorsports both make aftermarket hi-po cams for the v-6, gaining 40 hp, you can also get ported heads to go with the cam to gain a total of 75-90 hp.

Seeing how your car is red it is hard to say if it will pop as much on the black but it does look hot!

In answer you your question, I can put it back to stock. The only thing I would need is a new Challenger badge for the grill, as I had to alter the original to fit the aftermarket grill. So yes, I am saving the stock parts I take off.

It's a great question you posted, but I'm guessing it was easier to leave things stock back in the day without such a crazy aftermarket world like we have today.

BTW Mike, I think you did a fab job, every one of those changes makes the car more beautiful and more like the first gen.
And I agree you should build it the way you want it.
When I restored my 72, I went for the 70 r/t stripes and the 71 spring special wide chrome hood lip molding, I did it my way. My car to look the way I want it to.

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.
