Options Q's
« on: November 24, 2008 - 08:56:30 PM »
I just bought my Challenger a few weeks ago.  JH23G0B... I know the general stuff 318-2bbl 1970.  Here is my problem, the fender tag is gone (i knew this when i bought the car) and i cannot find a build sheet.  so far i have checked under and behind the rear seat, in the seat backs, under the front seats, and in the glove box with no luck. is their anywhere else to look, will i ever know the cars factory options without finding one.  I know this isnt a great "numbers" car but im still curious.

In the glove box?

If so, look BEHIND it. They were taped to the backside of the glove box insert in 1970 Hamtramck built cars.

If you strike out there, email me with the complete VIN & I can check my files to see if it one I know something about.

Be very, very carefull. Depending on how much sun the car has had, the broadcast sheets found there can be VERY brittle. Place something clean & smooth on the floor to catch any little bits that may fall off of it. If needed you can reassemble it like a jig saw puzzle later.

They were usually taped on each side with masking tape. It is likely quite hard by now. If you can work the tape free on the edges, the sheet will come out.

It might be best to remove the whole glove box liner & take them out together.

No matter what, be careful & patient, go slow.

Got a scanner? If so, scan it & email it to me. Once I get it I can talk you through it over the phone pretty easy. 907-225-2709
