My old 72 Cuda in about 91 or 92.  I did not know what I had.

Crush velvet button + tuck interior, 440 I built 30. over, steel crank, med. hot cam 4700-8700,
323 rear gear, 3 speed torque flight, T shifter, 140 or maybe on 160mph on speedo, (can't remember).

Could not afford film in those days. I will look for more pic's,this one is of me and a neighbor at
Shuffle Town Drag Way near Charlotte, NC. Did not have the money to enter the race. But I'm pretty sure
she would run at least in the 9's in the eighth mile........

Now I go forth, to run new turn signals on the new 72, trying to get it street legal
so as to run street class at Pageland/Jefferson Drag Way.

Boy that brings back memories of good ole Shuffletown dragstrip R.I.P. The great city of Charlotte really screwed us all over by closing that track down. I had just gotten licence when it got shut down and was really looking forward to having fun at the track. It was literally in my backyard. Pageland is a nice track. I just hate that the staging lane is uphill!!! Where are you from? I'm still here in Charlotte.

I live in Peachland NC 18 miles from Jefferson Pageland Drag Way.
40 miles from the (The Rock) Rockingham NC.

I guess you got to go to the Food Lion car show at lowes motor speedway.
I take it by your name sake,that you also have a 72 cuda?

I had it in the Food Lion Auto Fair about a year ago. Now we have the Zmax dragway as well. I cant wait till they start having test and tune open to the public. As far as pics you ask and you shall recieve!! And yours??

Can't say, but WOW!
Mine is not near that nice. But that is why I'm here, to learn and find parts and like minded people.
The (wife) a computer guru, will have to help with the pictures.

I am a little intimidated, showing my pic's, as I'm not very detail oriented.

But you probably did not get there over night.

hey Dave, where did you find those turn signal lenses? I thought they came amber.......

Mark, Indeed we all start somewhere. I was lucky enough to have bought mine in great driver condition. Its no 100 point car by any means but still very nice. Being that it has about 10 plus years on its current redo it is starting to show its flaws. As good as it looks though I plan on tearing it apart in about two years for a correct restoration as it has only been through a few repaints and had quarters (incorrectly I might add) put on it. So see it doesnt matter weather you start from scratch or buy one already done it is a never ending project. That being said I would love to see pictures of your car as soon as your able to post them no matter what condition its in. After all if you a member here your car is not likely to remain in that condition long!!

Wally, Do you mean the lamps in the front valance? If so they are clear with amber bulbs. Depending on the angle and light of the picture they can appear amber due to the reflection of the bulb. All 72-74s are this way. I would be neat to make some amber lens though!

That is actually a great car you have there!! Looks super solid has a great engine and its my favorite color!!!
