EW340P26390256;

E - Series (model year) 1969

W - Windsor Ontario Canada engine assembly plant

340 - 340 CID

P - Premium fuel only

2639 - Date of final engine assembly from the 10,000 day calendar - December 11, 1968 (1969 model year)

0256 - 256th engine assembled at the Windsor plant on the day noted above.

This number is known as the engine serial number, which is not to be confused with the engine VIN number, they are different.

Well, you just found it here.  ;)

You can get at least part of it at http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/1969-Dodge-TSB-Index.shtml - go there & read TSB # D69-25-1

(Chapter 25 near the bottom of the index)
