What kind of trans options do I have?
« on: February 15, 2012 - 01:46:52 AM »
Guys heres the scenario, I have a chally that currently features a 383 with a 727 and 323 gears, I am gonna stroke a 440 and drop her in there however I wanna get the full effect of having mega hp at the tires. I want really steep gears like 391 or 411, what all options do I have and how affordable are those option? Thanks for the help guys.

If your wanting to stick with an automatic then it's either a Mopar 518 OD or Keisler A-41( GM 4L60 retrofit), or gear vendors that adds a OD to your 727.
With a manual again Keisler or Passon, or Brewers. None of them are "cheap"
If your wanting an OD you don't need that much gear in the rear end IMO?

you can also add the Gear vendors OD unit to the rear of the 727 , it is very strong & reliable
