can you brush polished trim rings
« on: August 24, 2009 - 11:31:53 AM »
The 14" brushed trim rings are no longer available new.  Can I buy a polished set and brush them myself?  If so how would you do it?

I thought about mounting them to a wheel and then spinning them on a balencer.  You could then use a scotchbrite pad or something.  Would that work?

If not, can origonal trim rings be restored?  Mine have some dents on the lip and have been scraped on the curb a few times.

I would bet Scotchbrite or steelwool would work.
