OK i got done disassembling the 71 340 i just bought. Here is the VIN if it belongs to anyone's car let me know. I was told it was out of a Challenger but have no way to confirm

I'm pretty sure the "2" means it's from a 1972.

Yeah it is a 72 vintage but I bet it has a 71 casting date on it, thats probably why he is calling it a 71.

your right, the intake is a 72
