Sure wish that jack was for a 70-71. I dont know why but E-body jacks are almost always MIA and mine is no exception.

the large nut on the rear of the pump with the internal flare fitting has to be removed to get the housing off , beware there is a spring loaded part behind the nut as well

Should come off with a little persuasion. I rebuilt mine (Federal) and just used a screw driver to pry the halves apart.

Did you try a rubber hammer to knock it off?
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

you have to remove that big nut.. the one where the ps pressure hose connects to.. be careful there is a spring behind it...

I know they are a pain sometimes to get off of there.  Been there and done it several times.  The seal is most likely the problem.   Anyway thought I would say that to see if you did that.
