I'm happy with mine for what they cost and I had no problem installing them in an afternoon. They do go down quicker than up, but no different than the factory windows in my 92 Daytona (actually better...) I can't see dropping $500+ for power windows.  :grinno:

I think for me the part of the letdown too is the fact that they do not offer a factory style switch and at the time did not offer 4 window kits. I think now they offer the 4 window kit. Since I have money invested I will try to make them work and possibly get the quarter window setup as well along with a set of factory switches. IMO the wow factor is not so much in the power windows themselves but just seeing those big rectangular switches.

I had the opportunity to pirate all the door switches from a 90's wrecked Caprice cop car so that's what I have now. I wonder if the old 70's Chryslers had similar switches? They would be alot easier to find than for an E-body.

Yeah, any old Polara or Chrysler Imperial or other led sled would have the switches. Electric Life did offer the GM style switches but even though they are cool they would look out of place in a Mopar. The Mopar switches were large Rectangular switches with a sort of grain cast into them. I actually bid on a set on Ebay a while back but they went for big money. It was everything though, the regulators with motors, switches, bezels and wiring harness. I have always wanted an E-body with factory power windows.

If you can't find a four door mopar with power windows you might check some early model vans. Some of them had power windows and would have the two button master and passenger side switch. Thats what I am running now. I have the large four switch master and two more singles if I decide at some point to power the rears.

I dont like the aftermarket universal style regulators.  You remove the door handles and they simply power your OEM regulator.

A lot of the 80 trucks & ramchargers used them also with power windows.

yes, and so does Electric Life, Jegs, Summit, Spal, etc. Am sure there are varying qualities between the kits. They are a universal solution to power your windows. They dont look as good installed because you have to place a cap cover over the door handle shaft. It protrudes slightly out from the panel. I dont think they have you cut the end of the shaft off. This is the Colibri kit, prob one of the nicer ones. With the rarity of OEM regulators and motors, maybe these could be made to fit nicely. Personally, I like to put the switch where the door handle hole is.
