Give him 6 months to get tired of it & you may be getting a great deal. Boys had more projects than years I've known him(over 25) but claims to have never lost on any of them.

Sweet, I talked my wife into buying one of those and taught her how to drive stick in it.LOL  She drove that thing for 2 years, best 500 she ever spent.  That was back in 98 and the only reason she stopped using it was the computer was going bad and the thing started shooting flames out the tailpipes and doing some other odd stuff....

Tom

Good Luck with it!

Had one about like it.  Was my daughters first car.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

Nice.  My other car is an 85 Laser.  I still can't get over the ridiculous electronic voice alert system.  Also, check out the eyes on those two animals behind the gate in the first pic.

Best car I ever had was a '85 w/ a 5 speed. I regret selling it. $11 to drive all week in the 90's.

I bought my 2.2 Turbo for $500 from a guy in the Army on Ft Dix. It had broken the timing belt @ 105K (original belt) I changed the belt and drove it for 50K until the head gasket went (original gasket) I decided to tear the motor down and rebuild it and put a new clutch in. Parts were real cheap, Cam/followers/gaskets/etc. It was like $500 for everything. The motor still had the crosshatch in the cylinders and I didn't even need to tear it down. The car never once left me in the road.
