A/C Compressor mounting
« on: January 06, 2009 - 12:22:23 AM »
Hi All
Will the mounting bracket from a 318 carry the a/c compressor etc on a 383? I have a chance to buy a complete setup for my Challenger but it's currently in a '69 Coronet with a 318. Just wondering if I'm buying a headache or not.
Thanks

You will need the brackets and hardware from a big block car to mount the compressor. They mount in different places and the mounting points are in different locations from each other. The hoses reached for me when I changed from 318 to 383. The small block has the compressor centered and the big block throws it over more towards the drivers side.
