How Many Cubes?
« on: January 08, 2009 - 09:57:25 PM »
I have a 340 that had been bored .060 over. Standard stroke. How do I calculate cubic inches? :clueless:

Thanks;

(            Area of circle            )*(stroke)*(# of cylinders) = # of cubic inches
(((4.04 +0.060)/2)^2*(3.14159))*(3.31)*( 8 )= 349.603

Hopefully I got that right.

Yep, that's what I come up with too.

bore x bore x stroke x .7854 x 8

4.1" x 4.1" x 3.31" x .7854 x 8 = 349.6

Thanks much guys, I did not have it checked, it may have been done before the work was done. It is not a numbers matching car, so if it blows up, I will have a great excuse to get a big bock! :bananasmi

However I have been accused of driving like someones grandma, so I hope I won't have an issue. Thanks for the help and I will make a copy of the formula.
