Was it lot 787.1? If so what kept the price down was the fact that it is an automatic, non dana 60, non shaker hood car, and a 22 inch radiator. And that it was at the Vegas auction adn not Scottsdale.

The car was correct, Im not saying it will bring what the one he is describing will bring, but it isn't 30 to 40k off what he is asking about. As far as it being Vegas I agree but this week will tell the tell cause I think it's going to be a blood bath at BJ. I hope Im wrong but several friends lost mega mega money the last 2 yrs in Scottsdale

I agree, the goldrush is over.  People were spending money they didn't have, spectulators.  Only buy the car if you intend to keep it.  If prices go back up in the future, consider that a bonus, not the end game.

I saw that, I would love to be in a postion to pick that up, it looks to be a very nice car and I bet it cost that much to do it.

Two more cents from me and please do not take my comments personally.

If it were me and I had the money, I would buy the car. I would try to get it for less, since the market is in the toilet, BUT I would buy it because I like the car and I kick myself weekly for selling the V-code cars I used to have.

Being a Chevy guy, you might not have the mental disease for these cars that most on this site do. Buying to flip at BJ makes me a little queasy. Buying for the love of these cars hits a little closer to home. I don't dislike Chevvies, all old cars are cool. I just like Mopes the most.

In response to your earlier question, you would more than likely have more into the car when all is said and done than you would get at BJ. Keep it for ten years and it might be a different story. Heck, by then, you might turn into a sick Mopar guy like us!

I'm really impressed with the response and the advice.  Whoever posted the link, that car is hot, what do you guys think he really wanted for that car $60k, $70k.  I don't know....Nobody thought it was worth $50k.

I think you're all right; it would be a super, super nice car and maybe 5 years from now the boom would be back and I could make a killing, but as I said earlier I like to drive my cars and logged well over 300 miles this week on my 1967 Camaro Convertible.  I would be in much cheaper going out and finding some nice Cuda with a 340 or 383 in it and have soime fun.  I could paint it whatever I wanted if it needed it or I could upgrade the engine if something was tired.  Maybe spend around $30k?

This project would start with spending $30k on the car, if he would even let it go for that, as he's asking $35,000.  I bet you another $35,000 would barley get the car done and if I did I would be in it for $70,000.  Probably not what I need to be crusing to Starbucks in  :-)
