Will 70 Challenger grills fit on a 73?
« on: January 16, 2009 - 06:15:53 PM »
The whole assembly, not sure what you call it. Head lights and grill, the entire section between both fenders. I'm asking because I really like the 70 or 71 grills compared to the 73 round ones. My car is by no means going to be original so I'm not worried about that.

There have been a few threads about this over time. It will take some doing on your part. Cutting...welding...

You see, the front fenders are different, so is the header panel that holds the grill. If you get a pair of 70-71 front fenders, then this might get easier, but more expensive.

as stated above the fiberglass grille hold the headlights so when that is removed you need to install steel headlight buckets onto the fender to hold the lights , also the front fender trim doesn`t work , using 70-71 fenders is one way to solve the issues
