AAR Grill Insert Finish

I have attached a picture below of one of my grill insert for my AAR.  I am trying to figure out how much of this chromed piece is suppose to be blacked out.  The near side of the part (although difficult to see in the picture) is painted flat black on most of the side but on the other side it appears to be left chrome the entire side.  Does anyone (AAR owners) know how this was to be finished from the factory?

Good question.  I have the same problem.  Mine are chromed somewhat.  I was also told the AAR was chrome & the regular Cudas were black.  Hope someone else can verify that for me.
