lol...

FY1443433:

I heard from one source and also read through a city data site that crime is pretty bad down there - well above average with fewer cops per citizen than the national average.  Lots of car theft...  What's your take on that?

The job would be Southeast of Jacksonville, and I was looking towards Eastern Jax or Jax Beaches for a place to live.

Jeff

Jeff,

Downtown Jacksonville is terrible and that's why I don't live there.  I work on the NAS and live south on Fleming Island, it's a bout seven miles away from the base and since I go to work so early I very rarely hit traffic.  I don't see the crime where I live but that's not to say there isn't any but nothing major.

I think that the Southside is a nice place to live but then I don't live there.

Go-fish is right traffic does sux.  On certain days, like Wednesdays it seems that the traffic is heaver than ususal.  Fridays are the worse, I never want to go out on a Friday night since I know that the traffic is bad.

I can't comment on the cops, I guess if you worry about them a lot then you're doing something wrong.

Jeff,

I have had many job offers too but I hate to move and lose what I have established and knowing what the economy is like right now it would be tough for me to move.  It would have to be quite a step up in pay.

No one would think less of you.
