Build Sheet Search for AAR
« on: January 06, 2009 - 08:08:21 PM »
I am trying to track down a build sheet for my FK5 AAR Cuda.  I found one in the rear seat that was mostly made into mice bedding, and one in the drivers seat that turned out to be for an FM3 AAR (who happened to be selling his car on eBay a couple of weeks later and it is now in his possesion).  Checked all the other places with no luck.  Am hoping that one of my other ones ended up in another car.  Anyone know where I should start?

I have a few AAR broadcast sheets here and know of others. If you have not registered yet, you should.  ;)

Did you keep the build sheet that was turned into mouse bedding?  You might be able to piece it back together.

I did check that site A_TA.  Is that yours?  That's good to have that set up.  I'm sure there are a lot of sheets that get in the wrong cars and it is nice to see someone has made an effort to find the proper homes for them.

CH, I did keep the largest section of the rear build sheet (upper left).  I think the mice must have left that section so I could verify that it was my build sheet they were destroying.  The remaining pieces were pretty small.  Not much salvaging.  I was never patience enough with puzzles anyway.

Thanks.

Yep, my site.

I also know of items that other folks have. I only publish the VINs for the items I have here.

I am pretty good with puzzles too, got a photo so I can see how bad it is?

I'll try and send on later this week.  I still have to figure out how to attach pictures to this site.  It doesn't look like it is as easy as copy & paste.  Thanks.

E-mail Mark at aarcuda@gmail.com.  Mark runs an AAR registry and has broadcast sheet and/or fender tag info on almost 1,000 of the 2,724 AARs made.  Mark took over the original AAR registry from Dennis Holly around 1999, so his info goes WAY back.  A few years ago I was interested in an AAR for sale online.  Before going to see it I called Mark.  Not only did he have the BS and a fender tag pencil rubbing on file, he had the names and phone numbers of two previous owners so I could ask them about the restoration of the car.

Speaking of which, check out Mark's website with pictures of most of the cars on file:

Thanks.  I have been to his site a few times but not sure if I inquired about his BS on hand.  Thanks for the lead.
