No, the server got filled up with photos and Ross had to clear out the older ones.  It's a maintenance thing that he has to do from time to time.  If you upload your photos to Photobucket or some other online hosting site, you can link to them and they'll never disappear.  Photobucket is free.

Wow.  I wish I had known that before.  I've posted over 100 pictures, now the thread doesn't make much sense without the pics.  No offense but everyone who has one of these restoration posts going know they are a lot of work and VERY time consuming to keep up to date.  Some take years to complete.  We do it to help others.  I know I learn a lot reading other members resto threads.

Can't they remove pictures from other catagories first and prioratize resto catagory?  I'll use photobucket going forward but how do I fix a years worth of posting?

Should I just start fresh with a new thread and repost the pics and info so it is clean and just delete this thread?

So I think I'll delete this thread and start a clean one.  I'll summarize everything to date and post back the 100 + pics from start to current date.

Just to be clear - If I use photobucket and link the pictures from there I will never lose my pics correct?  Even if the server goes down, once it is brought back the links will remain and the pics will stay up?

I willing to take the time to do it but if I can lose the pictures again it won't be worth the time.

Please let me know.  Thanks.

Hi John,

How are you doing?  Yeah, a bummer about the lost pics.  Photobucket or Picasa (Google's version of Photobucket) is probably your best bet.  Nice of you to make the effort to post the pics again.

Just a thought.  The pics uploaded to the c-c.c site are gone, were they directly uploaded here?  I was thinking if you uploaded all your pics to like Photobucket then linked those pics to your thread using the image button above that does this [IMG] thing, then if the server gets cleared, the pics may still be around as the pics are actually at the Photobucket site so it'll just have link sites and not actual pics that were directly uploaded to your thread.  :2cents:

FYI- if you go into my profile and look at my previous posts, go back to page 358.  I still have pics there as they are linked to my cardomain page.  They were not directly uploaded to this site from my hard drive.  :woohoo:

BTW, you might not want to delete this thread but just post a link to the new thread in this old thread.  :2cents:
