I'll at least attempt to use it in the interest of providing a first-hand experience to other car-owners.

Besides - the Viper's going to get repainted anyways...   :stirpot:

I wouldn't let that thing within 10 feet of my Challenger, or any other chamoise.  After you use it once, it will always have debris and fine particles in it that will scratch the paint/clear coat when you use it.  I use a chamoise on my 10 year old truck, but that's it.  I can even see the swirl marks that it has left on it.

I've always used a california wiper blade.  Used it on my corvette for years, now I use it on my Chally and Firebird.  Of course, the paint on my chally is pretty questionable...

They definitely get most of the water off. GREAT on the windows. You just have to be careful to keep the blade clean. A small stone, and you scratch with every swipe.   :22yikes:

I used a similar product I believe also made in Germany. It was actually made of rayon.

My wife bought a package of these-guess she was WoW'ed by Vince's good looks right  :smilielol:  Anyway these things are O.K. and they do soak up and hold water better than many chamois I've used.  They seem pretty soft once they get a little moisture in them and it will hold more water than my chamois.  I haven't used it on the car yet, but seems like it would be good for taking water off after a wash.

I don't think I would purchase these with the intent on using them on my cars....I've got 2 huge labs and 3 kids so spills are common around my house.  I would use it for more household pickups and what not vs. cleaning the car.  Sounds like it might be ideal for that.

"Shammies" are almost leather in feel, and have a real rubbery texture when wet.

I thought a real Chamois was leather?
