Secondly, can someone walk me through how to change my user name in profiles. I can't figure it out.
Somehow a "R" got dropped from the name. Now for the good stuff. I just purchased my second 1970 'Cuda. The first one was a factory special order that I purchased in Oct '69. It was triple black, 383 Magnum, 4-speed pistol grip, rally dash, floor console, A/C with NO power steering, 3:55 rear end, AM/FM stereo multi plex radio with rear window defogger - $4200 out the door. I sold the car three years later like a fool and have been regretting it every sense. Now retired and have been looking for a replacement for the past three years. I just bought it last Friday. It's sort of a barn find. It's been in storage since 1983. The previous owner began dismantling the car for a home restoration and lost interest. Before he quit he rebuilt the engine and trans and had all the seats recovered and a new dash pad installed. Car is a matching numbers BS23 with a 440 U code engine, 4-speed pistol grip trans, Dana rear end, rallye dash, AM/FM tape radio, lemon twist yellow with a black vinyl top and 15 inch rally wheels. The body's a little rough, very cheap repaint, had rear end TA damage to both quarters and a very poor backyard repair was made. Rust in the trunk and right quarter. Otherwise a very solid car. Luckily my best friend is an outstanding paint and body man.
The car is virtullay in pieces with very little left to take apart. Going to finish dimantling and then take to my friends shop to have it media blasted and the body work done. Hopefully with your help I'll get it back together and running again. Current plan is to restore it to stock condition with the exception of the color, going to be triple black, and a mega flow exhaust system from Year One.
