That's the Tremec 6060, correct?  There was some discussion on the Viper forum about putting them into late-model Vipers.  In the discussion, they mentioned the difference in the gear ratios of 5th and 6th gears between the Viper 6060, and the Caddy CTS-V 6060.  I wonder where the 5th and 6th gears of the Challenger 6060 sit.

That's awesome - I wish you luck with the project.  By the way, T-6060's aren't really hard to get - it's not like Chrysler is building them.  They're just selling you a part off of Tremec's shelves.  If the Challenger and Viper 6060's are the same, then the Caddy's has a shorter 5th and 6th gear for better top-end acceleration (and thus lower fuel mileage at cruising.  *shrug*)

Good luck!!

Jeff

thanks Jeff

Yes the TR-6060
The gears are 1st 2.97 2nd 2.1 3rd 1.46 4th 1:1 5th 0.74 and 6th 0.5
Tremec has not released a street one yet. They are having trouble keeping up with oem production.
I do understand that they intended to last year, but it’s not ready for the public yet. I also have a method to my madness in if I have road problems I can pull into most any dodge dealer for service as an 09 stock parts for repairs on the motor and trans.

I gotcha - well that's awesome you got your hands on one.  I'd love to secure a Viper TR-6060 for my Gen II, but I've gotta finish my ABS retrofit first...  which requires starting it... ...first...

Do you have a link to that discussion. My Boss wants me to swap one into his 05 as the new ones shift much better.
