OK guys finally the long awaited pictures!!   :bananasmi
I went there yesterday and it is ALMOST complete!!   :burnout:  EXCEPT I guess sitting in Rachelle's backyard for so long the mice decided that he wiring was a neat thing to chew on!   :pullinghair: so they needed to buy a new wiring harness!! ugg!! but the rest of it looks FANTASTIC! the glass goes back in today then the wiring harness goes in tomorrow THEN it goes for the TEST DRIVE!! YEAH!!!!!!!!
ok here are the pictures!! the first one is the engine compartment, the second is the ceiling (difficult the see the awesome job he did on the headliner! but I posted it anyway!!, the third picture is of the seats, and the fourth is of the exterior mind you it hasn't been painted yet it just has the rims that were re-done and the new tires!! The door panels are still at the upholserers because I am waiting for the quarter panels to come from a guy in the east mine had a little hole on the top and since they had the ashtrays in  them they were a little difficult to find!! I am getting really excited the closer it gets to being finished. I think is should be done REAL SOON!! again YEAH!!   :burnout:   :burnout:   :burnout:

Sorry about the sun angle it was going on dusk when I took the pictures so the sun was in the camera lens and I tried to photoshop it out but that washed the picture out! I forgot one thing I chose to go with the "gunslinger" pistol grip shifter instead of the original "T Handle" I think it sure dresses things up a whole lot! and so does the guy doing the resto! I also wrestled with which air cleaner I wanted since the car originally had a 6 pak on it and all that stuff got ripped off! So I decided to go after market instead of stock and I looked at TONS of air cleaners! I think if I asked one more person at a car show to pop their hood so I could see their air cleaner they were gonna kill me!! lol But I explained to them I was restoring my car and needed one and looking at them hanging on the wall in the speed shop didn't do anything for me they were happy to oblige!! THANK GOD!! if not I don't know what I would have done!!

You are absolutely correct! the passenger side had a small crack and I was fortunate to get that piece NOS off ebay for $100.00!! I couldn't believe I was SO lucky!! and that wide trim is SOOO cool !! I didn't realize it was SO rare until I was reading posts around here!! The whole car has A LOT of rare options on it!! how lucky I was that she sold me the ca!!   :clapping:  it is going to be SO cool when it is done! I just hope the 6 way adjustible seat works?

It's been a while so I thought I would give you guys another update!!   :bananasmi  all the glass is back in, the panels are back from the upholstery guy and man do they look good he redyed them and re textured the stuff that was sundamaged and put new carpet on the S/E carpet strips, it came back from the alignment shop so I think it is almost done!!   :bananasmi   :bananasmi  they are having a problem tho! Brand new fuel sender but at 1/2 a tank it says the tank is empty? and they are having trouble figuring out what the problem is! but they just got it back from the alignment shop so they will be working full time on this problem! mean while any of you have any ideas? Like I said the fuel sender is BRAND NEW!! and the tank was boiled out and sealed! only thing I am wondering is....is that we used a 70 tank on a 71 !! is that a problem?
Thanks for your help!

if it is a SPectra sender they all seem to do that ,MoparDave @ Roseville Chrysler has ones that read right , don`t let them spend very long working on it ,the unit itself is the problem

Have them check to see if they grounded it also.

Sender may have been bent a little during shipping. Have them pull it out and check for full deflection of the gauge while while moving the float. Then for swinging all the way down when reinstalling into the tank. I had to bend mine a little to sit all the way at the bottom.

Did you haer in the news about the guy that bought a used car. He went to his mechanic to find out why his fuel gauge never went below 1/2. The mechanic pulled the tank and found many pounds of weed inside the tank.

I know you said it was boiled out, but I thought I would add this.

If it wasn't grounded would it even work at all?
