Best Brake Pads?
« on: February 21, 2009 - 09:36:39 AM »
Slider calipers, 113/4 drilled and slotted rotors, streetcar. Can anyone recommend a good brake pad to use, I just bought the Bendix Timetallic ones, but they are full of rivets - I was thinking it would be better to go with bonded ones, like Raybestos semi-metallic ones?

Maybe no difference between riveted and bonded, any experience or opinion would be appreciated. Sure seems like alot of pad material is missing where all the rivets are.

For a street car, whatever semi-metallic is on sale at the local AutoCheckerPepZone. No need to get fancy and expensive for street driving or even regular bracket racing for that matter. You'll never put enough heat into them faster enough at high enough speeds to make a big difference.
