LS-7 kill
« on: November 30, 2001 - 09:29:15 AM »
Know what is better than having the quickest in town, having everyone think you have the fastest car in town.

Some young guy was running is mouth about his LS-7 Chevell and how it would run 11's. Ran his mouth every Sat night at the local meeting place's here in Collinsville Il. Ran his mouth not his car. I looked his car over about 3 different times, rear of car was stock looking. No traction no action was how I looked at it.

I told the guy or should I say sucker the 68 Runner was running 14.5 in the quarter with the old motor I had in it. Well it would run 14.5 if I shut down 3/4 of the way thought the quarter. Well the mouth one night pulled up to me at a light with his 11.0Belly Button and wanted to play. I only ran 14.5 so he showed no fear.

Brought the engine up to about 1800 rpm's(don't want to smoke them) and watched the yellow on the other side of the light. After what seemed about what took 2 seconds, his **** to start to move(held back incase he said he was not wanting to races).

Boy all that tire smoke looked cool. Let him have half a car then let go of the brake. Had him by 5 car's at the top of second gear then shut her down.
At the cruise site everyone was dullie impressed with the action. He drove off never to be seen a again in Collinsville, life’s in Bellville IL. Never told anyone what the Runner ran in the quarter(well 13.01 on a good day) but never told any of them that.  All they rember was he ran 11's and got his ass kicked and I never told them different.
Shut down many of car's that would have kicked my ass by REP only, no gas or tires wasted. Cool.

Every see the Movie True Lies  Went cursing in Bellville at the Dog and Sud's when it was still open. Saw the mouth and he saw me. It looked like he pissed him self, by the time I got parked he was gone.

One more part of the story, I got pulled over 3 times by Collinsville P.D. One of the gear head's that saw the action was a officer of Collinsville and told his friend’s about it. They wanted to see the motor($2000.00 in chrome) never got a ticket just
wanted a look.

I like Chevelles, because that's what I grew up with. ;D I could beat one if I wanted to, but there is too many good memories. I mean, you grow fond of a car if you grow up with it!!! :)

LOL!  That happens to me every now and then, too.  When they found out I needed to renew my license, they just gave it back and haven't stopped me since.  ;)  I hafta' say, they've always been pretty cool up here.  DMV lately, too, believe it or not.  (I thought I'd never say that about DMV!)
