360 Mopar with 621 HP
« on: November 05, 2011 - 02:20:20 PM »
My engine builder built this motor at the same time he was building my 440.  The article was in Car Craft Magizne.

Bookmarked it, thanks.  It would be interesting to know what the true cost of an engine like that would be.  Lots of skilled labor hours for sure, need to look up the previous build the article refers to.  That sounds more like what I'd want for the Barracuda.

Thanks, Jim

From what I can tell already, it looks to be around a $20K engine. That Belt drive is EXPENSIVE. As are the 414 C.I. Strokers. I'm more impressed when this engine makes that kind power for 10 years. A "Flash in the pan" don't count IMO...Hell, I once saw a stock block, crank, rod 440 make over 1000 HP for about 40 seconds.
