A-body dodge parts
« on: March 08, 2009 - 12:14:13 AM »
I've looked around a bit on the internet only to find that A-body parts are harder to find than E-body...anyone know any shops that specialize in A-body 70-74?

Whoever said A-body parts are easy to find was wrong! I can't even find stinkin' front fender trim for my '73 Duster.

I assume that you are both members over on this site.    http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/forumdisplay.php?f=41

I have needed several a body parts, posted  in the wanted section and have found everything I need, eventually.

Here is the forums home. The other is the parts page.

I don't know of anything local either.  There a  few junk yards but they are 200 miles away from me.

Don't know if you guys have seen the new AMD catalog. They now make a ton of "A" body parts. They don't carry trim pieces, but a ton of body parts previously unavailable except from a donar car. They also carry chrome bumpers and glass!! You can call them direct at (866) 591-8309 or visit their website at  www.autometaldirect.com. Hope this helps some! :2thumbs:

Not as hard to find used parts as e-body and not nearly as pricy  :faint: but until AMD there were not a lot of repro parts available.I had a 3 year search to find a tinted 1/4 glass for my `69 Barracuda coupe!

Trying to find parts for a-bodys is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Now that i own one i've found it harder than when i was looking for parts for my Cuda. I remember when thats all i ever saw in the bone yards a few years ago.

I would imagine getting parts for a demon with a factory sun roof would be difficult... :faint:
