filler tube color?

i've been on a parts painting spree recently it seems...

just wondering what the correct way to finish off the gas tank filler tube...

that's what i thought.....but wasn't sure....

mine is pretty much beat up...not shape.. but metal apperance... it was pretty nasty when it came off the car..

might buff it.. or hit it with some cast blast...

dunno..

any thoughts?

I cleaned mine up & painted it with Detail grey so it looks natural still

I'm thinking of glass beading mine and spraying it with a flat clear.

Lead-Tin was actually the coating that was on the original filler tubes. From what I have found you can't find anyone that will do it anymore though  :(
