Installing right side mirror
« on: March 22, 2009 - 10:07:37 AM »
I want to install a right side mirror on my 70 SE. It never had one before. What should I use to attach it inside the door. Someone told me there might be an attaching plate already in the door. Should I use threaded screws and simple locking nuts on the inside or is there something better?
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the link. I found those on ebay but they wanted way to much. I have a NAPA nearby so I'll give them a try.

I take it that the mirror mount area should be relatively flat, correct? Any tips on repairing the mirror mount area?  I have a door that looks like someone either tried to pull the mirror off or pry the rivnuts out.  It looks to be a tight fit for a dolley.

I can't remember if I asked this before, but is the mirror in the same place from year to year on the Challenger?  That is, did the factory move the location of the mirror up or down or back to front for any specific year?

No. It was always the same place.   :grinyes:
