Awesome pictures!!!!!  Don't be so hard on your Challenger.  When I look at a car that is not 100% finished, I can still see the end result!  You should be proud!

The new Challenger is awesome but it looks like the fat ugly freind once beside the original. Raw and unfinished , your chally still is unique.

Seriously though, very cool story Rabid
Sounds like a great experience was had by the both of you!
You are driving a piece of history brother.......BE PROUD!!!!  :swaying:

I drove my first car, (72 Chally) around in gray primer, with rusty quarters the entire time I owned her, and I could not have been more exited everytime I took a drive  :jumping:
You are but one of a select few who are lucky enough to have a very special vehicle in their possession.....remember that, and don't ever loose sight of that fact

I was out yesterday with my 70 and met a new Orange  R/T with the hood treatment.  I flashed my lights and he flashed his.   Gave me a warm fuzzy feeling.  Mine was make in Oct of 69..........Felt  the history as we passed.
That gave me the chills  :bigshades:

Thanks for the kind words guys!!  I'm pretty hard on my own cars, and especially when I post on a message board like this where there are a ton of stunning cars!

I agree about the new Challenger being quite a bit bigger, I wouldn't kick one out of bed, but I probably won't be going after a new one, but maybe in a few years.

I don't know about you guys, but the more I look at these pics the better the early Challengers look. When the two cars are together the new Challenger's proportions look way off. So long as the new Challenger is kept away from the old Challenger it looks great.
