    Challenger SE trim

    I have a challenger vert that is a 100% mess right now but working on sub assembles that go on it.
    I have the both sides of the top door SE trim, Both conner Fender trims and the Hood Trim I have 2 of them wanted to put one on the fiberglass R/T hood I have and One on the T/A hood.

    What would be the best way to open them up to a uniform size to fit the thicker glass hoods?
    Like I said if I mess up one I still have an extra.
    I was looking at the window screen tool I have and soemthing like that would roll in the opening and open it up,To bad it is plastic

    I'm not sure what you could use -- but I'm very envious that you have 2 SE rear hood trim pieces, as I have been looking for one for a long time.....  :faint:

    I am not sure the plastic will have enough strength to pull off what you want :grinno: i would suggest using something like stainless and some dry lube, a rod at the exact width or just undersize of the gap you need would be your best bet.  This way it has a constant size as it turns inside the gap and will keep uniformaty for you as you drag the end of the stainless rod through the opening to make the new gap :2thumbs:

    I think all SE cars had the trim but it was an option on non SE cars.'
    Should not be hard to find.In reality I have 2 whole sets not just 2 hood pieces. I got one set free in a trade deal.
    I know the plastic i not strong enough but was looking for something that would work
    Whats Dry Lube?

    Dry lube is available in a stick, looks a bit like a nikko pen.  It is available at post parts outlets i would think.  Do a google search and you should find an example of what it is :2thumbs:

    I would thin the hood before I would risk damaging the hood trim
     which door top piece did I need  :clueless:

    That was the plan. I already did thin it some. But realy am thinking about opening it up some.
    I realy think it would wipe the paint off a hood putting it on new paint. Then smaller fender ones as well
