Big block swap

I have a 74 318 Barracuda, I want to put in the 440 I have. Is it true that I have to swap the K-member, is that because they did'nt have BB's in 74. I was also told I did'nt have to swap it and I could just buy new mounts, I hope the latter is correct but any input would be great, swapping the K-member sounds like a nightmare, thanx.

First off welcome to the site. You do not have to change the K member, just the mounts, but there are other things that have to be swapped like the radiator and driveline, transmission. If you do a search of this site you will find tons of information on big block swaps.

Ok, thanx, I'm working on the rest, slow but sure, the k-member thing was my main concern.
