How many individual leafs made up each of the rear leaf springs for a 1970 Barracuda, 318/904, and light duty (7-1/4?) axle?? I have a pair of new aftermarket springs in the car now, and they have (5) leafs each, but the car sits up too high.

5 leafs would be it. 6 on a 440 or Hemi. Give it some time, the springs will settle a bit once you start driving it.

My 318 4 spd barracuda came with 4 and then a really small leaf about 8 inches long . It had a 323 sure grip to. I got some 6 leafs off of McVey's in Michigan. It raised my car up about an inch
