stupid detail question for upper bump stops for rear axle

Ok, since I am so anal retentive when it comes to details on a car, I would like to know if the metal mouting tabs for the rubber bump stops for the rear axle were a yellow paint color on factory installed units.  Ive tried to sneak a peak at Dave Waldens fantastic car but pictures that I have seen have not included this item.  For some reason, I think they were yellow from the factory.

For those who can not place where this part is on the car, it gets secured to the frame rail above the rear axle and is held in place by two bolts.

Any help would be appreciated.

The wheel well areas had sound deadener applied (undercoating) so painted or not, you are not going to see it, or not much of it if the sound deadener is put back. Mine are completly covered, even the rubber bumper.

I believe they were yellow though under the undercoat

Were also yellow(but not as crusty!!)  The ones shown in the picture are not yellow, so you might want to call and confirm before handing over that kind of cash.

Our bump stops were replaced at some point fairly recently (prior to us getting the car) as they have yellow cad on the metal tabs.  Since the rubber is in excellent shape, I am just planning on painting on the metal parts for now.  Im guessing they were probably dipped in the yellow paint like the trans mounts were?

Not all trans mounts were yellow.

ok, Barry, what would a small block auto tranny trans mount color be?  black or yellow?

From memory Hemi cars got the yellow ones. There was a very long thread about it on another site a few years ago with some neat photos, I wish I had saved it.
