Ok, I have been workin in a hot rod shop for almost 2 years now and I have been looking for a set of ( i might spell this wrong) neoprean valve cover gaskets for my 318. I just changed the valve covers and one side is leaking like crazy. I have to replace. I don't want to use cork. Anyone know where I can get a set?

I don't know if they are actually neoprene rubber or not, but the Mopar Performance ones are beefy reusable rubber gaskets with a steel core. I have them and have had my valve covers on and off a couple dozen times. They are still in perfect shape and seal excellent. I think they were under $20 too.

If it's leaking that bad the gasket probably is not the problem unless they were over tightened & squished.. What kind of valve cover?

FelPro offers them in 3 types , cork composition & rubber , find someone who sells FelPro , I know Summit does

I have the cheapy chrome covers. So I know that might be my problem. But the guy I had put them on was a spaz. One side is find but the other started to weep a few weeks ago then got worse this week.
Now here may be a twist. I am using a PCV valve on both sides of this 318. Could that be causing to much back pressure. I ask because when I took off the breather and put on the second PCV the car started to leak oil more. I did it because my vents are stuck open and it was pulling engine funk in to the cabin. But now that I think about it that was when things started to leak more.
Could I just be building up to much back pressure?

you need to have the PCV on one side & the breather on the other & crossflow the engine
