Sounds like a good price for a solid running driver. Aside from the obvious, the biggest problems in these older cars is the wiring. Usually connections (like bulkhead) that get corroded and cause a loss of a good ground. I would check the all the electrical stuff such as wiper motor (I had problems with a bad ground on my '68 notchback), headlights, dash lights (also a problem area), brake lights, turn signals, headlights, blower motor. Look under the car for rot. Check frame rails, possibly use a magnet to check body panels for fill (bondo). Check windows for signs of leakage. Back windows often end up leaking at the corners on notchbacks. Check the trunk for rust/signs of leakage. Check engine for obvious conditions like knocking, smoking. Look at the oil for anything like water/contaminents. Check color of antifreeze. Make sure tranny shifts into all gears smoothly. Look under hood for squirrels, mice, rats and chewed wiring. Sonds funny, but some stories have been told here on rodents!! A lot of stuff is just common sense. The big things that may cost you money is a rotten support structures like a frame rails or burned wiring or bum motor/tranny. they other stuff would be expected considering the price such as a cracked windshield or wipers that don't work ect!!
