I ask the same question some time back...the solution is only hook up two wires.

do they not offer a 2 prong H4 bulb for high beam ?
if not just bend the 3rd tab out of the way & connect the 2 prong plug , you onmly want it on with high beams anyway

H1 bulb is the high beam by itself.

I figured they would have to make one for high beam only

I would, but I fear that I am already taxing the charging system. I am about to get a 80 amp alt. Just to replace the stock one. I assume that 80 amp is higher then the stock alt. Am I right there?
With hopes that it will be ok. I want to put in a headlight relay but I am a  :clueless: when it comes to electrical. So I don't want to  :eek4: it up.

You need to change to headlamp relays if your running that high of a wattage bulb, get the load out of the old harness & swith. & think about udating the newer Denso alternator.
You can find good info on Goodys web page.

I was thinking about redoing the complete headlight harness Like Goody did. Where does it detach? I was going to pull the old one and build a new one with the relays. Any help would be great!!

There is not a factory "headlight only" harness. Like mentioned, it is entwined with many other circuits.
