A few more questions for you paint guys. I have started on the first round of blocking out my car. I put on a quide coat and started with 180 grit and tried not to over sand everything---but to get an idea of the high and low areas. On a few areas ---mainly on some corners I went down to bare metal. Do I need to shoot these spots (bare area) with the EPOXY primers first ---then another shot of high build(2K) on top of the epoxy--or can I just hit these bare areas with the 2k as I try to fill in some of the low spots. When trying to fill in the low spots on say my fender---do you just spot shoot the low place with 2k and re block or would you shoot the whole fender and do a little thicker spraying in the lows. Can you put down to many coats of primer??? The car for the most part is really straight but the trunk lid showed a lot of waves thru it that I didn't see tell after I started to block it. Should I strip it back to bare metal and then skim coat it or can I just ruff the primer thats on it now with 80 grit---skim coat--re prime with 2k and block again. Figured I would ask a few stupid questions now and save some work that I might have to do over later. It's been a good learning experience so far---gives a person a new perspective on how much labor is involved in trying to make this pig purty..
