What is a Siamese block?

What does that mean? On an ad it says "Siamese block or resto"

Siamese cylinders are all joined together side by side. No water inbetween the jackets.

to clarify the bores are linked between each bore adding stiffness to the bores , the water has to ciculate around the ends of the group of 4 bores to cool

OK that makes sense. So if you use this type of block do you need a stronger water pump? Does it effect the cooling efficiency of the engine at all?

Stock water pump will work. Pistons could need more clearance when the block is honed to specs?
