Just an update. All we got done in the last 2 days was cutting and welding in the motor braces. The expanded steel wasnt strong enough and kept flexing allowing the chain to come loose. We do have that fixed and the car runs great. Not much left to do but get everything hooked up permanently and get the solar panel ordered. And remember that ugly green seat??? well me and wes decided to change the color from green, and we think what we did was an improvement, its just a little sneak peak at what the rest of the car is going to look like.   oh and we got the brake permanantly mounted.

Today my friend looked at me and said "man.....we should put an 01 on the side and a rebel flag on the top"  i started laughing and couldnt stop  :roflsmiley:

WE realized that the bicycle front wheels arent going to work out, they arent made to be run without forks, we got a set of 11" wheels off of a old snapper lawn mover, dontated by Atkins Saw Shop. we got the spindles too and have come up with a pretty easy way to mount them, also we cut the handle bars off due to them hitting the seat and installed a racing steering wheel. Will have pictures tomorrow.

We are entering the car in a local car show next weekend (all money goes to st. judes so we figgured if we were gonna show it, the money should go to a good cause) I am also entering my challenger (i really hope i get best of something)

Surely we will win the solar car division  :roflsmiley:

Here are the pics, The car is all wired up and everything, took it for a test drive today and only broke 2 parts, after a few repairs we took it for anothor test run, Will try to post a link to youtube of me driving it tomorrow night. It was a blast, car does about 10 mph but it seems faster. Seeing the look on everyones faces that said we couldnt do it was PRICELESS

Here it is, all painted, the only thing we have left to do is get the solar panel in and get it mounted and wired. The chrome tips on the back are some fake turned down exhaust tips dontated by our local parts store, we just added them for the humor.

Looks nice!

I like the orange, it looks very mellow...  :grinyes:
