Welded bumperbrackets
« on: April 13, 2009 - 04:57:56 PM »
After taking a closer look at my challenger I see that the bumperbrackets on the front framerails are welded
in place instead of using the bolts, shall I suspect an accident caused this to be needed? :clueless:

How can I find out if the frame is unstraight?

hey per,

I`ve got a shopmanual at home. It descibes all body and frame measurements. I can make a copy when you come over next weekend...  :2thumbs:

Thanks friend  Just can't figure out why they did it. If I'm lucky it's because the bolts were brooken off. :grinyes:

Here you go!  ;D

Maybe somebody decided to tuck the bumper into the fenders more and didn't want to drill new holes?  :dunno:

possibly there is no damage & the bolts holding the bumper were seized & could not be re-installed after reemoving them , you would have to cut the frame open & replace the nuts welded inside the frame rails , which you are probably now faced with doing
