Brake Pedal/Lights
« on: April 17, 2009 - 01:21:19 AM »
When I press and release my brake pedal, the pedal comes back most of the way, but stays down far enough that the brake lights remain on.  If I reach down and pull on the pedal, it'll move back another 1/2" or so and the lights shut off.  Couple of questions:

1. Brake Switch appears to move quite a bit.  I have a parts store replacement that is going in this weekend.  Should the body of the switch move at all?

2. The fact that I can pull the brake pedal back disturbs me a little.  It was a manual drum-drum car and has been changed to a manual disc-disc car.  Is my pushrod now too short with the change in master cylinders?
