If you think the economy won't affect you---think again!
« on: April 18, 2009 - 12:54:25 AM »
I always thought nothing about the economy going to the crapper. I didn't think it affected me...well, I was wrong. My mom quit her job (real estate) because she was on comission and ended up sitting around all day in the office doing nothing. Well, she dosen't want to pay the high morgage for our house anymore so we're moving to a small town about 8 hrs from here (100 Mile House, BC) this summer. I have to leave all my friends, other family and the great area. We're moving to her boyfriend's house. It really sucks for me. The only upside is I finally get to design my own garage. :grinyes: But if you think the economy won't affect you....think again. It could!

There's a couple guys from dodgecharger.com near the new house. And Brandon, I'll be taking the Charger and Duster right away. The Coronet is being stored in Creston for me and I'll get it once I move up there.

My advice is NOT to be a PITA. Before you cop an attitude with the guy that has agreed to take you under his roof put yourself in his place. The alternative might be out in the street. His house, his rules.  :grinyes:

Well just keep your head up and try to look on the bright side of things. I mean hey it could be worse, you could have to leave your cars behind, or worse have to sell them just to help your mom pay the bills. Just hope and pray that everything will work out.

I don't know your situation at all but I've ended relationships because of my girlfriends kids. I always hear the "You're not my daddy" stuff. I reminded the last one that her real daddy took a powder before she was even born.

My sister did that at the beginning but she's gotten over that now.

Thank God I never had to hear that one from either of my step-kids.  I actually get more flak from my own son than I ever got from her kids.

My monthly salary went down almost 3000 dollars and my son was just born, so I'm feeling it too. Hopefully the oilfield will pick back up again. But I can survive with what I've got, I was smart enough to keep all my bills well below what I made. We just can't be as free with our money anymore.

Needless to say I haven't been able to work on my car at all.

Yep . . it has affected me also.  Now I think I work twice as much and still make the same amount of money.   :screwy:
