Does anyone have any advice on musical air horns?
« on: April 30, 2009 - 07:19:03 AM »
I don’t know what’s come over me! but I feel I really need to buy some musical air horns and was thinking “Dixie - Dukes of Hazard”.
Has anyone bought any of these/ are there any recommendations on which to buy (and not to buy?).
I was thinking eBay.
Thanks

I don't have any experience, but having a dixie horn in a car thats not a general lee copy or a roach coach may make for some interesting comments from the crowd.  :clueless:

I wouldnt put dixie horns on anything that Bo Duke wouldnt drive.  I certainly wouldnt put them on any ebody.  The only things I would put them on would be a General Lee, or a 70's era dodge truck.  Those two things seem the most fitting.  Around here, you'd never hear the end of it if someone put them on their car.   :2cents:

I think it might be fun. Not sure I would install them in anything other than a 69 Charger, but it's your car so do as you feel. I heard JC Whitney has them so you might start there.
