I'm finally converting my '70 dash to Rallye (after several months of collecting parts and the courage to take this project on).... while I have the steering wheel off I realized that my turn signal lever is "loose." When I look down inside the crush can, there is a single nut (probably 5/8 inch) that seems to be holding the can onto the column. If I take this off, will the crush can come off so I can (hopefully) tighten up the turn signal lever).
Progress on the guage swap is slow - crawling under dashes is a young man's sport. Got to pause, as I forgot to acquire a tach kit and just ordered one from RTE today (they are VERY helpful!). So far -- so good..... but not probably a job I'd want to do again real soon. (thanks to all here who gave me advice -- I'll keep you posted).
