« on: April 15, 2009 - 03:21:15 PM »

Just picked her up yesterday for my birthday, thought I'd throw my penny in this metaphorical well like everyone else. No fender tag and no build sheet as of yet, gonna keep looking though. Currently sits as a 440 4spd car.

Congrats on the car..... But you will be a real lucky guy if you find a Build Sheet in a car coming from the LA Plant, I have had 5 cars from there and only 1 car had a sheet. I think they used them for bathroom towling paper.....

I remember reading somewhere they didn`t put buildsheets in the cars in LA...  :dunno:  I know mine had none...  :walkaway:       don`t have a fendertag either, but the good thing is I can go ahead and build and paint it the way I like and don`t feel like some barbarian...

The LA plant had a "no trash" policy, so most broadcast sheets were collected & thrown out before the car left the plant.

The only way to know for sure if there are any is to search the car.

Wow,.. Ok so thats good news I guess. No sense in loosing sleep over somthing that was probably never there.

On a better note, I may have tracked down an older owner who had it for a long time, word is he has the ralleys, valve covers and other goodies, I hope that includes the fender tag.

I could not find a build sheet on my 70 'Cuda either. I searched high and low for that thing too. Didnt know at the time that the LA cars rarely left the factory with them.   :walkaway:
