1965 Plymouth Fury III Convertible! 426 Max Wedge! All numbers match!

Hey guys, a friend of mine actually just picked this car up. It is in fact an all numbers matching car and is pretty interesting. It has these very odd side mirrors with built in spot lights. I'm not sure if that is a factory deal or what. It does run, drive, and is fairly solid. He asked me my opinion as to its worth and I told him that I really had no clue. What do you guys think if you don't mind me asking. Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Shawn

This thought may not be politically correct, but is an opinion offered. It may be correct? or it may be wrong? It is not designed to appease those needing shelter from the real world.

That is a cool old cruiser!!
It is not a "max Wedge" though.  It is coded for, and appears to have the 426 4bbl  "Street Wedge" engine.

That is a cool car and it is a bit odd being a Fury III ordered with a 426 Street Wedge, but unfortunately it is a C body and that kills the value on those cars.  If I were to price it I would have to say somewhere around $7,000.  I have some friends that deal mostly with 63-65 B Bodies and I asked them and they also said somewhere around 7, depending on what the bottom of the car looks like.  Hope this helps.

Yep I agree, 426 street wedge it is. Huge difference between that and a maxi but its still a cool cruiser. There is a blue one around here rotting away out on some guys land. I would also agree that the price would probably drop in somewhere between 5 and 10k. In these times I tend to think it would be closer to the low end of that. Will make someone a very nice ride though, cool find.

I think the mirrors are just an old school styling add on from the J C Whitney catalog.  My dad bought a 48 Ford and it came with similar mirrors that someone had added.
