Rear Seat Cushion Replacement
« on: May 10, 2009 - 09:07:04 AM »
The batting on the rear seat (back cushion) for my '70 Cuda is totally shot and I will either need to get a new seat back or try and recover the original.  Does anyone know how I could recover it?  I assume a high density foam would be acceptable, but not sure how thick it would need to be.  And will I achieve the correct shape of the seat with a uniform thickness of foam.  Any help would be appreciated.

Same boat here...the covering is actually in great shape (though a funky powder blue velour) but the foam is very much thinned out....not sure how possible it will be to find a used  rear seat...LOL

I used a 1" thick medium density foam on my 73. New seat cover and it looks just like new.
