What a family ! !
« on: May 09, 2009 - 08:10:16 AM »
Sorry, but this info. comes from an obituary in our morning paper. If a last name is familiar I'll read until at least I conclude I do not know the family.  Anyway.......... this elderly (81) man had 8 children, 38 grandchildren, and................99, YES 99 great grandchildren of whom 3 had previously died. Can you imagine what Christmas must have been like ?

:faint:  Christmas would be interesting.  You would have to rent a hall or something to have enough room for all those people.   :screwy:

My grandmother, on my mother’s side, was adopted at birth and was an only child.  She had nine children.  When she passed away two years ago at the age of 96   :angelwings:she had 32 grandkids, 78 great grandchildren, 23 great great grand children, and three great great great grandchildren for a grand total of 145 direct descendents from one person.

And yes, family reunions are very interesting!  :screwy:

That's cool. I'll bet they have to wear name tags at any family function!! :roflsmiley:

I think my parents match or excede all but maybe the 99, only cause we have not ever done a real count past the 70 count 10 or more years ago . yes we use name tags . p.s. dad  was a pipe fitter .
