    4 alt wires

    Ok, so I have a bill evans wiring harness.....for teh alt it has the wire to the lug and then 3 other wires.....one bronw, one green and one dark blue.....I am using the green and blue as the alt has only two spade connectors.

    What do I do with the brown (3rd) wire?

    Sure it's not for the temperature  sender...My smallblock's is brown & runs with the alt.w iring. ..has a round plug.

    No, found that wire.....this wire is a spade connector just like the other two.....

    I seem to remember a third wire on my original harness that was twisted /taped off....

    !!! Oh!    Well, that may make sense then...although I dont have a windshield washer pump (or bottle) right now..my car has the foot pump......I dont have any dash buttons or swiches for the pump.... ???????

    wire was there for all cars- the washer switch will not have the push to turn on the pump.- just tape it to the harness to keep it away from other stuff.

    Thanks!   Now, is getting an electric pump then as easy as getting an electric pump equipped washer tank (mine is toast) and the rightswitch? In other words, it is prewired obviously, eh?

    Everything is available new except the wiper switch with the washer function... You will need to aquire that used or NOS...   Tanks & tubing through restoration folks, pump/motor from any parts house.

    Just found out I have a $1,000 tranny billcoming LOL so the washer tank will need to wait a while.... :eek7:

    But will keep my eyes open for the switch....
